About Sirens:
There are 121 Public Alert and
Notification System (PANS) sirens that are located
within the Station Seabrook 10 Mile Emergency Planning Zone.
A majority are located in New Hampshire (94), twenty seven
(27) of these sirens are located in Massachusetts within the
communities of Amesbury, Merrimack, Newbury, Newburyport,
Salisbury and West Newbury.
While these sirens are set up within
the EPZ to notify the public of a Station Seabrook event,
they can also be used to notify you in the event of an
Emergency (i.e. Weather, homeland security, etc.)
The last Siren Audible
demonstration was conducted on Saturday, October 25th 2009 at
12:30pm
Next Siren Audible
demonstration will be on Wednesday, November 18th 2009 at
12:30pm.

Should you hear a Siren
sounding..
Occasionally a siren or sirens may sound accidentally.
If you hear a siren, tune immediately to your
Emergency Alert System station for information:
92.5 FM, 93.7 FM, 1450 AM
and 1030 AM
The purpose of these sirens is to
notify you of a situation where you need to tune into to the
Emergency Alert Radio Stations listed.
Please do not call 911
It the sirens were
sounded unintentionally, you would be notified via a
regular news broadcast. EAS messages would only
be used in the event of an actual emergency.
If you do not hear a message, you can call your local
public officials (listed below). These are
non-emergency
numbers with representatives who will be able to tell you if there is an emergency associated
with Seabrook Station.
